I'm on hiatus indefinitely
It's with a heavy heart that I'm even writing this. But as the months roll by I noticed more and more that my writing has taken a backseat in my life. I haven't even had the motivation to open a document and tinker with the works in progress. Since switching employers, the heavy full-time demands (longer hours/better pay) has caused me to focus more on family time when it's available and that pushes out my personal writing time. My family suffered many days and nights with me going part-time at my past jobs to balance working and my writing. Now feel it is time for me to focus back on them and myself. Plus, as of late I haven't been able to find my inspiration to craft new books or work on my old stories. Sure, the endless swarming of plot lines and new characters arise in my brain daily but the driving need to introduce them to the world has subsided quite a bit.
This isn't the end of me though. I'll still be around in the publishing world, just not wearing the author hat for a bit. Who knows, there is a chance that after some time I will return to writing. I think that at this point in my life, a part of me wants to retire Chacelyn Pierce. I feel as though any future works that I produce would not be fitting for the persona I built with this name. I wish you all the best of luck and thank you for your support of me and my books.
Love,
Chacelyn Pierce
